Ubud is small town, actually is district part of Gianyar Regency. The district consist about 14 villages including Ubud Village it’s self and other closer one is Padang Tegal Village, Lungsiakan Village, Peliatan Village, Mas Village and more. The center of Ubud has grown very fast along of main road, Monkey Forest Street, Hanoman Street, Bisma Street and Pengosekan Street full with accommodation and restaurant along the way. Growth continues apace, but there are still terraced rice fields along the rivers, and away from the town center, regular, quiet village life carries on relatively undisturbed.

The villa mostly available a little bit outside of Ubud Center. May private villa now built almost around Ubud area with rice field view. And 5 star hotels can find in the west side of Ubud with view overlooking into Ayung River and Wos River.
Best place for shopping in Ubud at Ubud Art Market for souvenir is like small handcraft, clothes, textile, painting and more. There are plenty boutique shops along the main road, Monkey Forest and Hanoman Street available for shopping. For food and drinks also available along these street too with different varieties of restaurant and cafe. For cheaper local Balinese food you may choose restaurant run by local. Best Balinese food is Babi Guling (Suckling Pig) and Betutu Bebek (Smoke Duck).
